Program Philosophy
This residency program is designed to prepare pharmacists to be board-certified psychiatric specialists. This program focuses on delivery of high-quality care to a diverse population in a variety of practice settings to support continuity of care as patients transition throughout the system. Residents will be encouraged to participate in interdisciplinary teaching to advance the profession of psychiatric pharmacy.
Site Special Features
Learning opportunities are available at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital, the largest privately operated San Diego psychiatric hospital, as well as San Diego County Psychiatric Hospital. Additional didactic and experiential teaching opportunities may be possible at UC San Diego School of Pharmacy, pending availability.
